Why do we get crepey skin on our arms?
You can get crepey skin anywhere on your body, but it’s especially common on the neck, chest, arms, eyelids, abdomen, and butt. “I think a lot of women will notice their arms because of the clothes that we wear,” says Dr. Melissa Kanchanapoomi Levin, board-certified dermatologist and founder of Entière Dermatology in New York. “And it has to do with a combination of things, like our skin getting thinner, shifts in our fat, not moisturizing the body, getting sun exposure on the arms. We also lose muscle mass as we age.” Dr. Levin finds that most of her patients are dealing with crepey skin on their neck and chest more so than their arms.
