The skincare routine for your feet
Just between us, how often do you care for your feet outside of a pedicure appointment? Our feet have the tough job of carrying us through each day, whether it’s a challenging hike, that first day of breaking in new shoes, or everything in between—they deserve better! We have put together a few foot care tips using Soft Services products you may already have.
For treating discoloration on feet
If you're dealing with dark spots or uneven skin tone on your feet, incorporating targeted treatments into your foot care routine can help.
Start by using Buffing Bar to gently exfoliate the affected areas, which will help smooth the skin and promote cell turnover. Follow up with Smoothing Solution or Theraplush, which contains alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs) that can help fade hyperpigmentation and even out skin tone over time. Apply a thin layer to the discolored areas, focusing on spots that are darker than the surrounding skin.

For peeling, rough, weathered feet
If you're not a fan of those peeling foot masks, we have something just as good (and less intense). Apply a thin layer of Smoothing Solution all over your feet, followed by a generous layer of moisturizer. Use Carea Cream in warmer months, and straight-up Vaseline or Aquaphor otherwise.
Pro-tip: Seal it all in with cotton socks, not only to help with absorption but as a safety precaution from doing the slip n’ slide!

For sunless tan prep + removal, pedicure maintenance
Warmer weather equals an increased desire to be sun-kissed. Whether it’s a professional spray tan or an at-home effort, being as exfoliated as possible, especially in dry nooks and crannies that get patchy like the feet, is essential.
Buffing Bar not only assists with this but acts as an eraser on any areas that overdevelop (think: ankles and toe knuckles). It's also a great way to keep feet looking and feeling good between pedicures.
For general maintenance for cute feet
After a long, hot day of stomping around town in sandals, use Comfort Cleanse to gently yet effectively get all the layers of grime off (don’t forget in between the toes!).
Get in there with Buffing Bar afterward to slough off any dead skin and calluses. Once out of the shower, do a quick spritz of Clearing Mist to help keep fungal issues, which come along with sweat and humid environments, at bay.

For skin aging concerns & a special treat
Your feet work hard, so why shouldn’t they get special treatment? If you’re already using Theraplush and/or Software Update in your routine, feel free to bring either treatment further down. Your feet can benefit from retinol the same way your hands, cuticles, and body skin do.
Heads-up: Skin is skin! The same acclimation process to retinol also applies to feet, so patch test, start gradually, wear sunscreen, and if using Software Update, be sure to pair it with a moisturizer.
