Use overnight on clean, dry body skin before moisturizer. Apply a thin layer to the desired treatment area (neck, chest, arms, legs, butt, hips, stomach, etc.), avoiding sensitive or broken skin.

To reduce the chance of irritation, apply once a week to start and gradually increase to a maximum of 4 nights per week, if skin can tolerate it. Diligently protect skin from sun exposure while using any retinoids and AHA’s in your routine, as skin will be more sensitive—using a sunscreen rated SPF 30 or higher is highly recommended.

Conducting a patch test before introducing new products into your routine is highly encouraged. Apply serum onto a clean, quarter-sized area of body skin and wait 24-48 hours to see that no irritation occurs, before applying to the rest of the body normally.

To reduce the chance of irritation, use the “sandwich method.” Apply body moisturizer first and once absorbed, follow up with Software Update, and then seal that in with another layer of moisturizer. This buffers the direct contact of retinol with skin, allowing it to slowly sink in, and helps manage the drying side effects of retinol.
